I joined Paul's Mixed Media Sculpture class in April 2015 with no clear idea of what medium I would be working in. I'd worked in papier mache before and thought maybe I'd try some more of that.
That first day I found that many of the other students were working in clay or carving in wood or stone. The stones they were using were alabaster or soapstone. I'd not done any wood or stone carving before but alabaster sounded interesting, especially as it was a comparatively soft stone to work. I tried it, loved it and was hooked! This is a blog of my progress to date.
